MIKE ROSS - APFS

DIRECTOR / CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER

I have been employed within financial services for 34 years, with 24 of those being in the independent advisory sector and 10 in the insurance company sector.

During this time I have successfully achieved Chartered Financial Planner status, which is recognised as one of the highest level qualifications available to advisers. Most recently, in 2011, I became an affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Professionals, by examination.

Whilst there is no substitute for experience, I have always thought that professional qualifications were important and am pleased to see this recognised this through the introduction of higher minimum standards for advisers.

Prior to founding Parkway I spent 13 years at a successful regional IFA where I operated as a director from 2005.

LEE HANSON - APFS

DIRECTOR / CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER

I have been working in financial services for 31 years the last 23 of which have been spent as an advisor. Initially I worked for a large life assurance company for eight years in a variety of office based roles before making the transition to being an advisor.

Having gained a number of years of broad advisory experience, the last ten years have seen me gravitate towards the retirement (both pre and post) planning. I am also a firm believer in academic achievement to complement my experience and as such I have undertaken a number of professional examinations.

GREG FARRAR - DIP PFS

DIRECTOR / FINANCIAL PLANNER

I have worked within independent financial advisory firms since completing my Economics degree in 2000, with my first introduction the world of work being as a graduate trainee adviser.

Subsequently, I have worked in both the research department of a national advisory business and prior to joining Parkway I spent 5 years advising clients on behalf of long established regional firm.

Whilst the majority of my career has involved directly advising clients, I am happy to retain a foot in the ‘technical’ camp, with additional responsibilities for researching and approving investment and financial products for use by the company's other advisers.

RICHARD BARTHORPE - DIP PFS

FINANCIAL PLANNER

I joined Parkway in summer 2015, having worked as an independent financial advisor for 24 years. Initially this included roles with two high street banks, and more latterly I worked for a provincial Yorkshire based IFA business for 15 years, during which time I worked alongside Lee Hanson for 9 years.

My focus has always been offering well-constructed unbiased solutions to clients planning needs, together with building and maintaining long term relationships and providing “old fashioned” personal service.
